About Me

My photo
I'm married (45 years) to my wonderful (sometimes) husband, Peter and have two wonderful (sometimes) grown-up (sometimes) children. I also am a grandmother to five gorgeous and wonderful (sometimes) grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. I am a self taught 'tatter'... 'Tatting' is lace-making with a shuttle instead of with bobbins - though I can also make lace in the traditional way too. I enjoy knitting and also crochet, and have tried many other arts and crafts - but always go back to tatting. I write poetry, and if I didn't have fibromyalgia I'd probably enjoy long walks through the forest and along the beach too :)

Hi folks!
Another Wednesday has come around and I still have nothing done! as you can see from my workdesk I am telling the truth.
But here are some of the things that are finished...
at least here would be some things if I could get the photographs to load! Think I'll try again a bit later after having a look around the wonderful blogs blogs listed at Julias.
If you want to join in the fun of woyww, just pop on over to Julia's and add your name at stampingground.blogspot.com

just thought i would share my day with you all, Started with swimming [ for the over 50's ]  I thought a float would be a good idea as my doctor told me not to do breast stroke, and can't do crawl, i take in mouthfuls of water! well the float was a disaster big time!!But at least i had fun trying to get on it.Sister Diane and brother-in-law Pete came for lunch. So, no crafting today. Tomorrow i hope to spend most of the day in my little craft room with my little buddies, pictured above. They are prayer teddies, given to me by a very lovely friend.

My workdesk today

Hi to all my friends, and my Daughter Sheleen, at last i can show what is on my workdesk today, Tuesday.  The bottom piece is a bookmark, or, will be when finished. The white, is the Star of David that i am making for Pete, the other pieces are mats in different stages of working. Really i have lots to finish but the Star of David will take time as it will be a table runner, which i work in between other projects. Also, i am knitting a scarf to brighten up my winter coat!!

Hi ho here goes!

well as my dear daughter Sheleen set this blog up for me I thought I had better "blog" something. I love to tat, I also knit, but tatting is my real  love! I have several things on the go at this time one, a Star  of David  for hubby Pete, a mat for sister Dido and a bookmark for my friend Una, so am never without a shuttle in hand.
